C2-C6 - 2-1-Point Shot – Pro
C2-C6 - 2-1-Point Shot – Pro
Key Points:
Defender cut the ice in half and don’t allow the puck to cross the mid-line. If the defender slides he must be outside the posts and his skates sideway so the puck can’t get under the toes. D fake going to the puck carrier early then drop back into the middle. If they screen in a high and low stagger then D1 focus on not allowing the higher F to tip the shot. Many attackers will panic and either shoot from far out or pass right to you. Attack with speed and make the first pass near the blue line and read the D.
Description:
1. Line-up D along boards in middle and F in corners.
2. F1-F2 attack 2-1 vs. D1.
3. After the rush D2 follow and take a shot from the point.
4. F1-F2 screen and tip vs. D1.
5. F3-F4 attack vs. D2 after the point shot.
6. D3 follow and shoot then defend vs. F5-F6.
