I gave a clinic last night with the topic of "Half ice Practices." I talked to the coaches for about 45 minutes and then we went on the ice for 1:45 min. and they did various half ice drills, skill games, transition games and battling games.
I put together a pdf with diagrams of some things you can do using half ice.
