We don't practice til Tuesday. Play an ex game vs. Provincial champs Red Deer tonight. We bus to Kelowna next Thursday, a 8 hour drive thru the mountains for a tournament next weekend.
I got a call my older brother got taken to the hospital in Penticton and not doing well, so I won't be at our next practice or on the bus. I am flying to Kelowna and will drive to Penticton, about 1.5 hours away to see him, then meet the team Thursday evening.
Yesterday morning Jim's wife Sara got smoked by a woman on a bike while walking to work. She is in the hospital and needs operations on her elbow, knee and orbital bone. Jim slept in a chair beside her last night. They were planning on coming to Kelowna. Jim is the one who planned the last practice.
I will plan the next practice for my other assistant coaches.
Tough last few days.
