Tournament in Sweden wants North American Teams
    Guest

    Hello Everybody,

Dick Carlsson is an old friend of mine and director at Goteborg's (my home town) hockey association. For decades they've been running this tournament, and it's very popular. The 48 openings fill up quickly, but they really want some North American teams, so I thought I'd forward this year's invitation for Jan. 2011. The tournament is for players born 97 and later (but they do have some rules allowing kids born Oct.-Dec. 1996 to participate).

If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Mr. Carlsson!

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi ,
enclosed you will find an invitation to the largest tournament in
the world for 14-year old players.
    – GOTHENBURG ICEHOCKEY CUP ( GIC ).

48 participating teams will stay at the largest hotel
in Scandinavia, Hotel Gothia Towers ( http://www.gothiatowers.com ),
and each team will play twelve games ( incl play offs ).
GIC-buses will take care of the transportations of the teams
between the hotel and the icerinks during the tournamnet.
Participating teams will have five meals, each day 2th – 4th of Jan.,
    during the tournament.

    See more information enclosed.

    Best regards
    Gothenburg IceHockey Association
    Dick Carlsson
General Manager & Tournamnet Manager for GIC

"- It was like playing in the World Cup!”,
    the captain of Ottawa Senator,
    Daniel Alfredsson remembers when
    thinking of participation in GIC.

“-As I remember GIC was the greatest and
best tournament you could participate in”,
    Loui Eriksson, Dallas Stars.

    "-GIC is a great tournament!"
    Freddie Sjoestrom, Toronto Maple Leafs.
